I am smoking a rib eye roast and it came with the rib bones detached. What is the best way to smoke those ?
The rib roast is on at 225* with Pecan.
Thanks in advance!
I picked up a ribeye roast for a Saturday smoke. It is a bit over 5 lbs and is boneless.
I plan to smoke it on my Green Mountain Grill burning hickory. I also plan to light up 2 or 3 A-MAZE-N smoke tubes filled with Pecan.
I really want to get it smoked in the GMG and then finish it in the...
It is double wrapped. I put apple juice in there with it to keep it moist. The temp is 350* It is up to 163*
Thanks for your help. Hopefully this comes out!
9 lb pork sholder. GMG pellet smoker
Got up at 4:30AM to put the shoulder on the GMG. Everything went pretty well until about 11:30. Hit a stall at 155*. It has gone up a total of 3* in the past 3 hours!
I read on here to just foil and put it in the oven at 250*. I did that at 1:30.
I...
All,
I am wanting to smoke both chicken and pork this weekend. I would like to do 2 beer can chickens which are recommended to smoke at 325* and either pork tenderloin or pork loin. Some recipies call for high heat on those and others call for low heat.
What is the best combo for my single...
I pulled and served dinner at 7:30. I just finished cleaning the kitchen. Family enjoyed the pulled beef sandwiches and were good sports about the late hour.
Here is a picture of the result. At least there are lots of leftovers!
Thanks everyone for helping me get through my frustration!
Set my GMG to 240 this morning and put two Chuck Roasts on at 8:15AM. It took until 4:30 to get to 160* and get wrapped in foil. It is now 6PM and they are at 187* and 179*! I was hoping to serve dinner at 5:30 but at this rate it is going to be breakfast tomorrow.
Before you ask, I know the...
Actually it was 3 hours longer than I planned. Once 5PM rolled around, my guests showed up so I moved it into the oven and let it go at 240* until it hit 205*. Took about 3 more hours at that point (IT was about 150-160* each).
I pulled it last night and took a taste and it is delicious so I...
My smoker is a Green Mountain Grill pellet smoker. At 8PM they each reached 205*. 11:45 hours total. Haven’t pulled them yet but will post some pics when I do.
Well I am not sure what the problem is.
I have a Maverick that is showing both around 145* and an instant on thermometer that says 145* =- 1 or 2*. I have a probe inside the cabinet of the grill and it reads 260*. The temp is set on the grill at 250* so it is not off too much. I am at 8...
So it is now 3PM and both Chuck Roasts are sitting at 139*. They have been on for almost 7 hours. I am now putting contingency plans in place for dinner. Looks like pulled chuckies for tomorrow.
