Any Xbox One gamers here? I made a BBQ/smoking club!

Definitely join up, Nate! Would be glad to have ya! Just trying to find smoking and gaming enthusiasts seems to be pretty difficult! Thanks to whoever moved this thread instead of deleting it! I couldn't find this particular subforum I guess.

Any Xbox One gamers here? I made a BBQ/smoking club!

I looked around for a different subforum on here to post this and didn't see a casual one (if I missed it, I'm sorry!) ~~ if this post is too far off-topic, I also apologize; go ahead and delete it, but I figured I'd post this in order to gauge some interest. I'm on the Xbox One. I don't game...

What's so great about the Blackstone griddle?

Thanks for the replies. So, does it get hotter than an indoor stovetop? I saw some guy on a different forum say that you can make "restaurant quality food" with it as opposed to what you can do indoors. Sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm genuinely curious. Trying to debate pros/cons with myself.

What's so great about the Blackstone griddle?

I found a great deal on the BS griddle and I'm fixing to pull the trigger on getting one due to how much food can be cooked in one fell swoop on the 36", but my biggest question: What is so great about it compared to just cooking on a cast iron griddle on the stovetop in the house? Does it get...

Selling your BBQ from the front yard?

I have 0.0003% of an expectation that this will or can happen due to the prospective amount of hoops I'd have to jump through to do it, buuut it is a nice thought and something to fantasize about before I go to bed at night.  I live 150 or so yards away from a recreation park. There's two...

Should I upgrade to a WSM and ditch my vertical offset Brinkmann?

I sure do appreciate the nice comments. Thanks, y'all! @mike5051  I love stuffing a smoker full of food every go-'round! :) I'm a big eater and love leftovers, so I guess, in a way, an army was being fed. Haha.

Should I upgrade to a WSM and ditch my vertical offset Brinkmann?

Got my WSM in on Thursday and I smoked yesterday! Baby back ribs, bacon wrapped pork loin, chicken thighs, chicken drums and bologna! Used apple wood with a smidgen of hickory!

    Problem solved!

Practice makes perfect! We all have our own ways of learning and figuring it out for ourselves in addition to tips/advice! Your pork loin looks delicious! I have one ready to smoke in about a week and a half from now and I can't wait. You are right ~ this forum is awesome and filled with a lot...

Should I upgrade to a WSM and ditch my vertical offset Brinkmann?

Thanks, smokin' enablers! Guess I'll go through Amazon. Anybody had a bad experience getting their WSM through them? I've also been tempted to buy through BBQ Guys but only because they offer rewards points back on whatever you buy over there.

Should I upgrade to a WSM and ditch my vertical offset Brinkmann?

Thanks guys! The wait is on. I have an 11 lb. pork shoulder and two racks of pork loin back ribs ready to season and dirty it up. Only thing is, I'm heading down south with the little lady to see her family on Tuesday for a week. Excited to see them (I know we'll smoke at least once down there)...

Should I upgrade to a WSM and ditch my vertical offset Brinkmann?

I've been smoking ever since December with a Brinkmann trailmaster vertical offset. My girlfriend's parents from Alabama gave it to me (it was their old smoker, as they'd upgraded to a horizontal offset smoker in order to fit more meat on it, and well, their new one works amazingly well and I...

    New smoker

Hey everybody! New smoker here. I'm from the mountains of southwest Virginia. Although I've always loved the taste of smoked foods, I never got 'em much! Then I met my girlfriend -- who lived in Alabama before moving up here with me -- and her family. They... spoiled my tastebuds greatly...
