Rob you can collect photographs of the certain ideas you want in your smoker and take them to any reputable fabricator and they can build you what ever you want. Usually only thing that holds peolpe back on "getting everything" they want is money.

well i'm no painter but i don't think you want to wipe it down with petrol. you need a good grease and wax remover wipe it down a couple times and give it ago.
just be careful with those casters, sometimes putting caster on like that on a smaller base will make it a bit tipsy.. Maybe not in your case never tried it on a barrel like that. looking great, keep posting those pic's
