Picked up the last 3 bags of Weber 20lb Charcoal Briquettes Walmart had for $6 and picked up some Western Post Oak wood chunks for $2.50 a bag too. They also had some various wood chips on clearance too for $1 a bag but I am overstocked with chips.

Ran across this today and wanted to get the seasoned kettle users what you think about this 'Kettle Zone Cooking System'. I am not affiliated with this in any way but though this was a great idea. It's up on kickstarter to get in early.
Picked these up yesterday for $5.91 for the case. Website says they are out of stock but there was over 30 cases in my Sam's Club.

I started off with this Chuck Tender Roast that was marked down so I thought I would give it a go.
Since it was such a long bath I decided not to put any salt, spice or anything on it. Vacu sealed it up and dropped it in the water.
My Anova kept the temp steady at 131 the entire 48 hours...
Like many of you I always head over to the meat dept to see if there is any deals and I just happen to stumble on this brisket. It was the only one there and the price tag read $8.06! The meat guy was right next to me putting meat out for the day (it was 6am) so I picked it up to see if there...
I am really loving my new AMNPS so I decided to give it a go with some Ribeyes.
I took them straight from the fridge and gave them a sprinkling of kosher salt and put them straight in the smoker unplugged. I added a pan of ice to help keep the temperature from rising too fast.
Filled one...
My wife and I were out shopping and I stopped in Gander Mountain. To my surprise they had the the tubes and the AMNPS. So I figured I would give it a try since it's so popular here, I am so glad I did!
My wife picked up some cheese sticks from Sam's and she didn't like them at all, she wanted...
I've been wanting to try pellets in place of wood chips in my Char Broil electric smoker but all I see are fuel pellets. I'm not looking to cold smoke but use in place of wood chips. Can I use any type of pellets in my smoker? Walmart has some Pit Boss pellets but I'm not sure if I can use these...
After seeing all these posts here and Jeff's a while back on burnt ends I just had to give it a try and I am glad I did! It was a small 2.35lbs but plenty for my wife and I.
Just about every recipe I seen said to keep it simple so I did. Hit it with some Worcestershire and then sprinkled on...
Had to get in the spirit and tackle my first smoked chicken wings. Picked up 3 packs the other day, 18 total. Brined them overnight in salt and brown sugar.
This morning rinsed them off and seasoned them with Ploughboys Yardbird BBQ rub and back in fridge for about 5 hours.
Got the...
Saw these on sale at Walmart and had to give it a shot. I don't think I have ever had beef ribs to begin with so I was excited to smoke them up.
Trimmed them up and seasoned with Jack Daniels Beef rub and wrapped them up in the fridge for 5 hours.
Got the smoker ready with a mix of...
This was another first for me, first full chicken and spatchcocked. I took this off Jeff's recipe. I got a heck of deal and couldn't pass it up.
First I spatchcocked it and brined it overnight in water, kosher salt and dark brown sugar. I definitely need to get some good shears.
Took it...
I ran across this marked down and I couldn't turn it down. Almost 11 lbs for $14.86, that's about $1.35 a pound.
It turned out to be a really nice piece of meat, very little fat to trim off.
I salted it down and wrapped it up and let it rest in the fridge for 24 hours. It came out...
Decided to step my burgers up and do something different. I had picked up some Jim Beam chips awhile back and wanted to put them to use.
It's just my wife and I so I used just a pound of hamburger 80/20. Mixed in some salt pepper minced onion Worcestershire a dash of Tabasco and of course...
Had family coming in for the weekend so I had to step up my game. I decided to go with a packer to get the weekend started. New to smoking in general I was nervous tackling this one.
I trimmed it and salted it down and wrapped it in the fridge for 12 hours.
I injected it with beef broth...
I was in Winn Dixie today and they had these clearanced at $1.99. I never tried them but couldn't turn down that price.
If they're your thing check them out if you have a Winn Dixie by you.
Well look what showed up on my door today. I know this forum is very heavily MES but I really like the features of this. I'll post a proper review once I get to use it.
Everything arrived in 100% working order no dents or extra screws and the sticker came off the window easily.
Seasoned...
First attempt smoking turkey so I thought I would try the legs first. I made up a batch of Jeff's brine. Water buttermilk salt and brown sugar and soaked them 24 hours. Seasoned it with Kickin Chicken. Corn on the cob soaked in water for 3 hours and smoked with mesquite for just over 2 hours...
