Just ripped a hole in my grill cover clearing the ice block off my gas grill (we got 8" of snow in North Metro Atlanta!), I have a Weber Genesis 310, any recommendations for a gas grill cover that will last more than a couple of years? Willing to spend a little more for something that will LAST, I keep my grill outdoors all year long.

I have found that the only cover that is foolproof is a garage or porch roof. I work for a company that sells and services natural gas grills, fireplace logs, heaters, and gas lamps. Most covers that are available for grills are predominately made in China and are junk. Their life span at the most limited.

The Weber brand cover I have seems to be of good quality, though I have only had it for a year so I don't know how it will perform in the long run.

After searching around a bit I'm going with this one, looks like it may last longer than most, they also offer smoker covers, as soon as my Masterbuilt cover starts to crack I'll be getting one of these:

I have gone through lots of covers. My Weber BBQ is 22 years old. My latest cover is a genuine Weber (took awhile to find one for my ancient grill). The previous one lasted from 12/31/2006 to 8/28/2012 (I just looked at the invoices). The five-year-old cover is still looking great.

By contrast, the Masterbuilt cover (i.e., one manufactured and sold by Masterbuilt) for my MES lasted less than twelve months and then totally disintegrated. It is total, complete junk. Stay away. To replace that, I got my kids to buy me a really high-quality cover from Classic Accessories:

Masterbuilt MES 30 Cover

I got it for Xmas last year, and it has faded considerably at the top, but the material is in fine shape.

You can research their site to see if they have something you'd like for your BBQ. Here is one that claims to fit, but I don't know what Weber models would be compatible:

I wish Brown Jordan, who makes outdoor furniture, would also make covers. My late parents gave us patio furniture made by Brown Jordan. This was back when we put in our deck in 1988. That furniture has been outside, 24/7, since 1988 (30+ years) and still looks great. Nothing has cracked, torn, chipped, or gone bad. Absolutely amazing!

I found the Classic Accessory line online as well, chose the 'Hickory' line Grill Cover for my Weber Genesis E-310, will let you guys know how it works out...As I mentioned, I will soon be replacing my Masterbuilt plastic cover for my 30" smoker with a cover from the same Classic Accessory Hickory line...
