I have been inside but never bought anything there. That being said, I would not be afraid to buy anything there.

I finally made it in last month and was really impressed with the selection but when it came to things in the back I wanted you had to buy by the case. Meats and sausages looked amazing but on the pricey side for me. When I want a treat that's where I'll head.

It's probably has been 3 years since I was in there, and now that you mentioned it I do remember it being pricey. I just was down to the strip last weekend and bought some stuff at Wholey's.

Pricey is relative to what you are smoking and how much you care about who you are serving. The Strip offers probably the best selection anywhere in Pittsburgh. Most Pittsburgh restaurants purchase their meats at the Strip.

Go for it guys....You only live once and your legacy is the most important thing here. Your guests will love you!

Have fun and keep on smoking.

John

The guys at Spork Pit were the ones who first told me about the place and the brisket I had was amazing!
