I could likely use some advice before I slap my first smoker together. What I've got so far is a vertical design where the cooking chamber is stacked directly over the firebox; I believe this build offers better heat distribution and smoke flow than similar stacks because the cook chamber and firebox are better separated (dimensions are for example, but I think this is a good size; easy to insulate and hand-truck). Hoping y'all can tell me if I've got something wrong, or am missing something. Thanks.

Unfortunately I don't have any information to help you but I really like your idea for the build and I'm excited to watch you build it.
 
Sorry to say that I wussed out and bought a smoker (I only just got these notifications or I would have said so earlier). But I think my design (which is probably nothing new) would hold temperature better and use less wood. If anyone does make this build please let me know!
