Hey guys,

New to the forum. I want to make a mini WSM -- am I crazy for thinking I can rig it so I can use it indoors?

I was thinking something along the lines of using the stockpot's lid, drilling a hole into it and making a smokestack with a dryer vent attached, then aiming the dryer vent out a window.

I live in a city, so there isn't much outdoor space where you could actually setup a grill.

Any thoughts? Am I crazy?

Thanks!

I’m sure it could be done but extra care would be needed to prevent a fire. Also, the loading and unloading process would still smoke up the place. Not sure you want to explain that to a landlord (assuming you are renting). Overall, it’s probably a bad idea unless you spend a lot of money on a commercial grade ventilation system.

Though not a fantastic idea do to the above mentioned if you used Pok Pok Thaan charcoal you’d have less smoke, as long as you didn’t use wood for smoke.
