    Bricks in Smoker?

    I used fireplace bricks in mine. I think it helps. Only thing I would caution about using those in the fire box is clean up. Could be "difficult" cleaning the ashes but leaving the briquettes.

    Spray bottle

    I was looking at Dollar General and they did not have a regular spray bottle. But I did find a pressurized bottle (like a garden sprayer, have to pump it. 1 Liter and it gives a nice spritz.

    I smoked that Piggies Butt!!! (Thats for any Arkansas fans out there!) Smoked 3 pork butts, about 6 lbs. each. Used the method from the "Johnny's Pulled Pork" recipe and thread that was revived a couple weeks ago. Brined it and then rubbed and put on grill. About 3 1/2 hours in to the smoke...

    Pecan Wood...Where to get it?

    I just picked up a 10 lb bag today at my local Ace Hardware store today for $5.99. They also have hickory, mesquite, apple, and cherry. I got chunks, but they have logs also. Best selection I have seen around here in MO.

    I've got that exact smoker. Got it for Christmas from Sams Club. Only used 3 or so times ( and only once with thermometers at grate level) so I am working on controlling the temps.

    What exactly do you do with the potato for the smoker temp? Do you stick the tip of the probe in the potato?
