Thanks, Max-Paul! You are definitely on the right track now that you are keeping the exhaust vent wide open.
I suggest trying my method and seeing how it works. If you are using good quality natural lump charcoal it burns pretty clean, and you shouldn't have any white smoke to speak of...
Gosh that Gouda looks good! I wish I would've thought to get some for my smoke today. Oh well, now I have a reason to smoke again soon! LoL!
I love that cardboard smoker!!!
Very cool smoke, despite the heat of the day!
Thanks, Venture! Two weeks? No problem! Nice to hear that the string is good to go right now. I'll have some with a beer tonight.
Thanks, SmokinAl! I was very happy with the look of the final product.
I can't believe how easy it is to cold smoke with the A-maze-n smoker. (Yeah, I...
This is how I roll.
Got my A-maze-n smoker 8 or 9 months ago.
Got my Food Saver 7 months ago.
First time using both: today.
LOL @ myself. I'm so lazy I make Homer Simpson look like Tony Robbins. (actually, 9 months isn't half bad. It took over three YEARS to get my smoker out of the box...
I've got Wing Fever! And the only treatment is MORE WINGS!
I did a search of things to put on the wings and decide to try Bama's recipe. Here are the main players, assembled just moments before show time
That bottle says, "Laissez les bon temps rouler." I guar-an-tee it!
While those...
Thanks, Otis857! Surprisingly, I didn't notice all that much difference in the pieces I marinated overnight compared to the ones I soaked for a couple hours. Also, I don't think I mentioned it, but I wimped out a little and only used one habanero (instead of the 2 the recipe called for). ...
Thanks, SmokinAl! Believe me, it was as delicious as it looked!
Thank you, africanmeat! You're most welcome! Cheers!
Thanks, Beer-B-Q! I'll drink to that!
I just smoked wings for the first time this week, and I thought I'd share what I learned: buy about double the number of wings you think you need! People can't get enough of those suckers! LoL!
Good luck with the smoke! Looking forward to the Q view!
Thanks, meateater! That soup is like liquid BBQ chicken!
Thanks much, raptor700! It was a fun Q view to do, too!
Thank you, desertlites! I appreciate the comment! I love getting the bright colored veggies in there. Looks good, and packs in the vitamins and minerals. And...
Mark Twain never said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco" But it DOES get cold out here in Cali, even down here in the southern part of the state. And when the June Gloom hits town, I make soup. This is my smoked chicken noodle soup.
I started with some homemade...
Thanks, meateater! Much appreciated!
Thanks, realtorterry! The wings weren't too hot after all. They WERE off the hook! Next time I'm buying WAY more wings. I can see how they'd be a huge hit at a party. My wife was impressed that the meat was not over smoked and it was falling...
Just added the final shots.
Thanks, africanmeat! It seriously was a feast!
Thank you very much, Bearcarver! That keilbasa was great for snacking on while waiting on the wings. Boy howdy!
Yeah, this is the 2nd time I've tried a nekkid fatty. I really love the stuffed version, but...
This started out as a spatchcock chicken smoke, but last week while I was planning my menu, I read Scarbelly's Jamican Jerk Wings recipe and I said, man, that sounds good! And since I never like to smoke without throwing a sausage or two in there, I got a Nathan's Beef and Pork Keilbasa. ...
