got14u, i leave an area roughly twice the size of the exhaust and damper door. from the end of the baffle to the tank wall is about 8''.

o.k had some more time on my hands today, so here are more progress pics. this is definetly a budget build so far by using up scrap and oddball pieces.i'll have more money for wood and meat.
updated progress pics!!! first i capped up the firebox, then cut the front door out,then the damper.joined the two and welded them together now it's time for the reverse flow plate and stack....more to come!
