Yeah I looked at that and they only have the food probe, I need both food and cooker.
Plus from Maverick Industries they are 2 for $20 so a waiting I will go..........
I have others I can use in the mean time, just really love my maverick
Thanks for the replies, I decided to give Maverick Industries 1 last try and lo and behold somebody actually answered the phone.
The reason I can not find the 6' probes anywhere is they are currently out of stock COMPLETELY!!!!!!!!
that is also why search after mindless search on the internet...
Did I mention they would be in a cooler with 2 briskets and towels. I don't think they will get any where near the danger zone......correct me if I am wrong PLEASE.
I can wrap them and put them in the fridge and reheat if i have to.
and BTW, again correct me if I am wrong PLEASE, but isn't the...
Ok, so this weekend is my wife's family reunion. I am the cook and will be doing Brisket, Ribs and chicken.
I normally get up there around 2pm on Friday and get my briskets on so I can pull them and hold them in a cooler until Lunch Time on Saturday ( we eat around noon ). Well my...
I am looking for a good web site that carries the 6' replacement probes for the Maverick ET-73
I can not get Maverick Industries to answer the phone or return e-mails, so if anyone knows of an outside vendor I would appreciate a link.
When I do a search all I can find is the 7 probes
Any help...
I am not familiar with KCBS & PNWBA rules, but I know in IBCA 3 meat tubs and some way of getting hot water will work. It is exactly how I do it at every Comp. I don't see why it wouldn't work for your event also. They can't really expect every team to be able to afford to pull a 3 stage sink...
just curious, you said a piece of 4" PVC 1" thick....how much meat was required per burger?
and that was for 1 burger right?...gotta be a decent sized burger
BTW Looks awesome , I love they way folks on here incorporate PVC with smoking, the simplest ideas are so often over looked.
Great Job...
Couple of quick questions for you Smokeon,
First do you mind sharing what you paid for that? I may have missed it if you said it
second, in the last Pic with all the Butts, did you drill a hole beside your door to run your probes threw ? if so how did that effect chamber temp and smoke?
Thanks
I love my new lang and the doors seal very very well.
I, however do not like how tight they close on my temp probes. I am 99% sure I have already damaged my food probe. BTW Maverick ET-73
So my question is, has any one made any modifications to get their probes in the chamber? or has anyone...
I'm gonna give it a I Love it.
I have today off and have spent most of the morning poking and playing around and I really like what I see. I am somewhat of a computer dummy, so it may take me a lil bit to learn the in's and out's but I am sure I will be more than happy with it once I get used...
Jeff, I want to say thanks for the new platform, so far I like what I see.
I trust you and the other admins so I am not going to worry over these issues.
One thing I love about any BBQ family, be it here or at a comp or another Forum is we all pretty much look out for one another.
But with...
I just clicked on the add photo icon above and then selected the url tab and from there was able to upload straight from photobucket.
Not sure if that is the right way, but it did work
This Thing Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, So I fired up the new Lang 84 Deluxe this past weekend for her maiden voyage and let me tell you she performed well past any and all expectations I had. Ben Lang and his crew truly delivered an exceptional piece of equipment.
I lit my fire and with...
