Not Myron Mixon style, except for the use of a muffin pan. First time I've done thighs - ever. Turned out very tasty - kids and family promptly scarfed them down. Next time I pick these up, I'll pick up more and do extra for the freezer.
Did not brine these boneless / skinless thighs, really...
I'm also very interested. I've done many, many briskets using a variety of wood and charcoal fueled smokers, but when I did my first brisket on my new 40" MES, I ruined it - I mean it was unedible, had to be thrown away.
I was heartbroken to say the least. Again, I've done many briskets, and...
I've not bought thighs at Sam's. Did they come boneless already or did you cook 'em bone in?
Gotta' say though, the chicken thighs look beautiful, I mean just great. Really like the idea of smokin' 'em up nice, then finishing them on the hot grill for some crisp. I might do that on my batch of...
Same story here. After seeing Myron do it, then him brow-beat the other Texas boy about "stealin" his cooking method, I been hankering to do it myself. Picked up some boneless chicken thighs at the HEB last night. So now I'm lookin around for some guidance.
Sweet Chops, I must say, these thighs...
Sorry that I misposted this short explanation of my recent purchase of the Taylor 806E digital thermometer.

Also bought a couple of analog thermometers I saw at Sam's Club last weekend. I think I paid about $5 for a pack of two of these thermometers with pen style cover and sleeve clip. Can't ever seem to have too many thermometers to check my meat!!. I haven't checked them for accuracy yet.
They're...
This is the red Taylor digital thermometer, model 806E, aka the "Weekend Warrior" as noted on the handle. I paid about $14 for it at Lowes this past Saturday. I have only used it to check actual meat temp once (yesterday), and it seemed to work pretty good. It is NOT instantaneous - it appears...
NWBHOss, great looking waffle filled fatty. I want to do one, so far, I've only done "solid" all meat fattys. That one you did looks good.
I see you smoked until you got to 165* - where did you measure the 165* at - in the middle of the waffles?
Please advise sir. Thanks for the help...
In my area, prices between the two are very competitive.
I like them both, they're simply different. For example, I just bought the MES 40 at Sams Club - didn't have it at Costco. However, I buy some of the freshest, best tasting Salmon available round here at Costco. Costco is totally...
I did that once. Almost impossible. I ended up calling the factories and inquiring about duplicate models with different names. In the end, no satisfaction on the matresses!!
Eman, thanks for the tip, I had no idea Sam's Club would do a one day freebie membership. I might of done that had I known. Truth be told, even though we shop alot at Costco because it's close by, I thought the Masterbuilt was a great excuse for the wife, so we could join Sam's Club too...
