    Smoked two 8.5 lbs butts last night for a few hours. This was a last minute thing for me because of my busy work schedule. I used mesquite chunks and 1 foil pack of Hickory chips...     I think its just carbon build up. Don't forget to clean your smoker occasionally, at least once after a dozen uses or so. My grill has CRAZY carbon build up... I've only used the ECB three times.

    I could swear I read that from Dutch himself somewhere in the first several pages... I think he said he drains them of the canned juice. Are you sure? I'm doing a quadruple of this recipe on Saturday, can't wait. Walmart has the HUGE can of bush's for about $4.50.

    Do you drain the beans of the canned juice in a collander? If I understand correctly, dutch uses a collander to drain but doesn't actually rinse.

    I bought a gallon of this stuff in preperation for a big party and now I'm regretting my purchase. I don't really care for it. Does anyone use this and have you had any success with cutting in some other ingredients? Any mods to this sauce would be appriciated.

    Salsa, Are those wings from the freezer or wing sections that you cut up yourself? I never have good results with the wings that are pre-cut and frozen (tyson). They are bigger wings for some reason, but they tend to come out tough as nails for me.
