    newbie question...

a TARP!... even better... and i have one!... as well as as a clothes-line pole to make a nice little wall/awning... it seems the simplest ideas are making the most sense... but i guess what we're doing isn't rocket science... so you'd agree?.. try to keep the rain/wind off and pay close...

    newbie question...

fair enough... i'm an electrician by trade, so i have the safety thing covered, but you may be right on the watt burner vs. charcoal recovery time... now that you mention it, if i'm constantly tending, i should be able to have more control with the charcoal.. thanks so much for your advice...

    newbie question...

thanks for the advice... one more quick thought.. i DO have an old brinkmann electric bullet smoker...would this be preferable in this situation?... for temp control purposes?.. once i got the weber, i swore i'd never go back, but it does seem like an option here...

    newbie question...

an umbrella!.. so simple it just might work!.. i'm sure i can "MacGyver" up some sort of umbrella rig... as well as positioning it out of the possible wind.. so you'd agree, temp control will be my biggest issue?

    newbie question...

hello brothers and sisters!... i'm a relatively new "smoker", about a dozen sessions under my belt... but i may run into something tomorrow i've not run into before.. rain. i'm in a new apartment, and have no garage or porch, my usual way for dealing with possible rain... it's supposed to rain...
