Ah, If the code is still available I too would like to grab one. In fact I'd like to get two or three, I'd give one to each of my sons!
I do have the inkbird sous vide and the instant read thermometer, very happy with both. Came here to SMF to look for a vac sealer recommendation since mine...
I have the same grinder, rips through a deer or a boar in less than 10 minutes!
Yes I've used it to stuff, quite a bit actually. It works, I used it for years until I got a dedicated LEM stuffer. I find that even though my stuffer is only 5 lb, thats what I use, it just seems to be easier &...
Bear, scoot yourself over to Renningers (between lyons & kutztown), I'm fairly sure I've seen extra large berks dogs at one of the stands in there. Might not be the same ones they sell at wawa, I dont know, but worth a look.
I'm not one of the experts you were hoping to hear from, but I can tell you that I find smoking on my weber propane grill works, but its not the same as using my smokers. I think you make the right choice buying a separate smoker unit.

Good to hear, sometimes its hard to tell where a person is coming from in a short post.
backstrap=tenderloin ... most people think so and use the words interchangeably. I think thats due to marketing, I think the meat industry has used terms to their advantage for quite a while. (Observe how...
Im concerned that if whatever you prepare isnt really good, you'll be giving your family a negative impression of venison, which would really be a shame. Especially since you started out with a tough loin... (I've never had a tough venison loin, it should have been VERY tender and flavorful...
Are you wanting logs to burn to generate heat, or chunks to generate smoke?
I'd suggest cutting both now, the chunks will probably be dry enough to use in a couple months so you can quit buying chips.
Depending on how dead/dry the wood is, yeah, it might need up to a year to dry enough for...
deer season is here and I'm running low on bags, so based on the many happy campers here I placed a small order to see how your bags are.
Thanks for the discount,
and many thanks for not marking up the shipping! (I hate marked up shipping!)
