    Happy Thanksgiving guys, I fried a turkey for the first time today.  I brined it overnight with water, salt, and brown sugar.  It weighed 12 pounds and I fried it for 44 minutes.  Came out great.  Best turkey I ever had.

    I am having problems with Butts and Brisket.  I think the problem might be the placement of the thermometer.  I usually stick it in the center of the cut of meat and have the whole thermometer inside the meat.  When i look at the pictures on the forum i notice that some people have theirs...
