Where can I get the best price on LumberJack Pellets?

The trick is to microwave the pellets to dry them out before using them. I use a glass baking dish microwave for 2-3 minutes give them a quick stir and then another 2-3 minutes.

Gloria didn't want to be a hog...

Wow that was a great find. I thought 1.99 for BB was good but, .99 blows that away. For that price I would have bought up 100lbs! As the cheapest I normally find bb's for is 4 bucks or less.

    Wife bought me a gun!!

I have shot over 100lbs of jerky from hamburger and have always done start to finish on the smoker. On average it takes 10-12 hours to complete. Worth noting I have a pellet grill so it acts as convection wich helps dry things out with prolonged exposure. I just bought a new stove that has...

    Smoker repair question?

Make sure to use the regular jb weld not the quickset and you should be fine. Make sure the area is clean and allow it to cure an extra day or 2 and it should work great.

    Jalepeno Jam

Couple of idea's. First one that comes to mind is moink balls coated in jap jelly and then a bit more smoke or a quick trip to the gril. Or make bbq sauce sub the jelly for any sugar and or vinegar in the recipe. I had some raspberry hab jelly that made great bbq sauce last year. Good luck.

Wow! You did the exact build I want to do. I have the extra pellet feeder that I was able to salvage after rewiring what was burnt with...

    Sausage casings

My local meat shop says he soaks his caisings in meat tenderizer. His only caution is you leave it in to long you will end up with mushy AND/OR casings that bust way to easy. Mm

    Ebay grinder-stuffer

I would treat a meat grinder the same as a smoke find the one u think will work and then go out and get the next sized bigger. I started of with a grinder in that size and it took a lot of work to get things through. I immedatlyPacked it up and got a bigger one from cabellas and could have...

omahasmoker: I have since thrown the receipt and the box. Next time I am at Menard's I will make sure to get a duplicate to get you the number. Just for clarification I bought a turkey fryer bottom. So it is the stand, regulator, and burner in a box. I didn't find what I was looking for the...

I love bark so I try to trim some of the fat off and smoke fat side down. I use to do fat side up, but I was always lacking the bark which is the best part of a smoked pork but!

    Kroger Ribs

I have done both with water and with out water. As long as you have your methods down both have turned out great. With the water ones I like to let them rest over night in the fridge on a cooling rack so that a lot of the water will come out. I rub them up the next day and throw on the...
