I ordered some of the pre-cooked Paula Deans from the Smithfield web site when they had a special and they are fantastic but even on sale they were a little too pricey to be a regular menu item in our house. I am still looking for a source of these...preferably uncooked.
Any one have a source..
I think Parkers may not be open any longer but Carolina BBQ in Garner is the real deal and only a little way off the interstate. If you make the swing down I 85 to go to Atlanta you will go thru Greenville SC where there are a lot of Q joints.
I have had three in my adult life each one lasting 10+ years. I have never had a gold just the silver and I had the large two handled rancher for a5 years until it wore out. There may be better grills but not for the money.
I lived for a time in Connecticut and fied hot dogs are about the only way you can buy them at a fast food joint....Blackies in Cheshire is famous for their fried dogs...and yes they are delicious.
But not to grilling and smoking. I have won a trip to Pittsburg in a restaurant cook off and paid my way thru college by being the butcher/ grill chef in SE Missouri.
I currently own an older N
Ew Braunfels Chamber smoker and a std Weber. I covet a Big Green Egg and that might be what I buy...
Sysco, Farmland and Smithfield all sell these. They are the small shnk bone of the front leg of the pig. Paula Dean sells them retail off of her QVC site but they are a little pricy. I'm trying to find someone to sell them at a reasonable price. I had them at an ECU-NC State game last year...
