    Buying wood in Western Washington...

    I am new to the whole smoking game and am wondering where to find wood for smoking. So far have only found bags of hickory chunks at Lowes and Home Depot. Any better ideas?

    I have been looking a some mods to do. What is the deal with the heat plates and smoke stack extension? Also on my first go around I did notice a lot of gaps throughout the machine and thought I should seal them up.

    I have been grilling on charcoal for years and just got a Char Broil Silver Smoker. I have used it once with pretty good results. I love the attention it takes and can tell it is a true art form. I am really looking forward becoming a master smoker.
