Oh, for anything with liquid I always add bourbon, and more bourbon.
I just tried this so don't know long term but I can see what you mean. Better re-think this, except for the bourbon.
On the Treasure Net they were talking about food savers and one gal told what she did and it works.
I bought the heavy duty Zip Lock bags, put the meat or veggies in it, zip it almost closed then insert a small straw and suck out the air and close the bag.
Works great and cheaper than the food...
Thanks for the article, I finally have seen the thin blue smoke. When I use wood it looks like Ole Number 9 coming down the tracks. I will try this next spring. The Black Hills are not conducive for smoking in the winter.

I got to know, why do so many of the side box smokers have the smoke stack right over the firebox. I thought you wanted the heat and smoke to go from one side to the other.

How did you connect the tarp to the tubing. I am looking for a cover for my small deck and this sounds like what do you do to hold it up for the snow. I live in South Dakota and hav an annual amount of 160 inches.
