I coat mine in veggie oil and seal up most of the parts in a vacuum bag.

Use the fire box to heat water

If you put a valve before the firebox from your freshwater tank it would work like a tankless hot water heater if there are enough coils in the box. Also, if you mount the fresh water tank above the level of the sink you won't need any kind of pump.

    Exhaust elbow

I have never seen galvanized exhaust pipes. That's not to say such a thing does not exist, but the pipe in the picture does not appear to be galvanized. Also, as posted above I don't think that you would have any trouble if you did have it in the exhaust side. The temperatures won't get high...

The beef can only get as salty as the brine it sits in. It will be grey when you take it out, not the bright red that the package kind look like unless you...

    Home made BBQ Sauce Invention

That looked like a valve with a plastic bushing in it. Be careful it might not take the heat and make a nasty puddle on the floor!

    Help with wind

I probably should have thought of that but I'm not a morning person. I'll certainly do that next time, I may still pick up the welding blanket too. Thanks all.

    Help with wind

Someone else told me to put a welding blanket on there too. Harbor freight has them pretty cheap.

    Help with wind

I started a butt last night around midnight, I got up and stoked the fire at around 4. There was a little breeze by then but nothing major. When I got up this morning it was fairly windy (15 mph or so the weather gizmo says) at that point I was loosing temp and could not get it back. I have a...

Hello everyone from Warwick RI. I have a chargriller pro with the smoke box. I've been using it for several years and love it! I came across this site looking for mods for it.
