Looking to add a new pit to the arsenal. Currently have a ys 640 pellet popper but looking to add a stumps monster or Myron mixon 48 or 60 inch. Just wondering if you had any opinions
Smoked this on the yoder for 16 hours with Todd's amazen pellet smoker. Temp held steady around 250
No foiling just threw it in closed the lid and pulled it off at 195
The rub was some bad Byron's butt rub and some cayenne pepper.

Wasn't able to locate a Yoder in PA, but Dover Delaware has a nice litte BBQ store called BBQ Grills Inc. The carry a decent amount of Pellet Poppers and the guys there are great. They ordered both the 640 and 480 for me to look at. I went with the 640 for the extra room.
It goes through some pellets, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. I like having the extra room and knew pellet consumption was going to be higher because of that. I would guess between 17-20lbs. Maybe next time I will clean it out and see how much it uses.
This was the first time I didn't foil for the stall, and there was a noticeable improvement in the bark. The outside stayed nice and firm, which was nice because where parts of the fat cap were I was able to slide huge chunks of bark off and add to my meal.
Had a 12 pound boneless pork shoulder in the freezer from Costco, and it was calling my name on Saturday night. Sorry I don't have any pictures before it went in but I did Rub it down with some Butt Rub, and some extra garlic powder, black pepper and a little cayenne.
