    That is going to be a good looking cooker when it's all done and you get it dialed in. If I am seeing it correctly you are using the 2 1/2"ish hole to transfer heat/smoke from fb to the cooking chamber? If that is the case, then it would be my opinion that you'll need about 3-4 times that area...

    In that pic, you can see the inlet from the firebox and the deflector /grease catch, as well as the rebar and expanded steel shelves.

    Stripped out inside, also lined with Roxul. That enameled steel is TOUGH! Drilling holes for shelves and cutting opening for the firebox ate up the bits and blades. Finally resorted to carbide tipped drill bit and the cut off wheel

    Insulation going in, Roxul. There is about 6" between the firebox and cook chamber, 3.5" everywhere else.
