Which Lump Do You Use?
I use Royal Oak. And I always make sure it says "Made in the USA". Great product and for just over $5 a 10# bag, very affordable. (I understand that Big Green Egg lump is Royal Oak in the BGE package and with a lot higher price tag). BTW, if you want a wealth of info on lump charcoal, try...- bubba_t

Is this Lump??
I use an awful lot of that exact product. I just make sure it says "Made in the USA" on the back. (Make sure the "blue smoke" is gone before you start cooking or you'll have a bitter taste).- bubba_t

WooHoo new ceramic cooker & questions for BGE folks
I use Mapp gas with a burner on a 4' hose to light my BGE. Very fast and very easy. Also have used cubes that are made of paraffin and sawdust that are made for BGE. Have heard others say they take a paper towel and twist it and then put some cooking oil on it. They light it and supposedly...- bubba_t
