    Converting charcoal brinkmann...

I've heard that people mix lump with wood on these types of setups just to get a little of the flavor mixed into the food? I'll try to snap a photo or two when I set this thing up. Post my project.

    Converting charcoal brinkmann...

Hello: New to smoking. I got a vertical brinkmann two door. My first couple of smokes have been full day events. Having to stuff charcoal, light charcoal, etc all day long. I might get shot here, but not that enjoyable. This weekend I had to whip something together for the in-laws and...

    review of brinkmann..1st cure cycle

Good afternoon: So I picked up my brinkmann split door on Saturday, put it together and started a fire today at lunch to cure it. The only "mod" I did was purchase the wok pan from home depot. Anyways, full chimney of charcoal and it burned at 375 for about 45 mins. Now I've been just...

    Newbie: question about smoke color...

    New in Los Angeles

I'm on day 2 of the 5-day course. Are the Brinkmann charcoals good starter smokers? I see a lot of people use propane also? I've been looking on the forum for some a post on "seasoning" the new grill. Any suggestions? Is there a cheat sheet for keywords/abbreviations? I saw a post that said...

    New in Los Angeles

Hello: I've been reading the forum for a while, so I thought I'd join. I have a traditional propane grill that I've tried some smoking, but it just doesn't work. With that little box of chips, I was able to get a little smoky flavor to my cooking, but nothing like the real thing. I'm...
