Well I finally got around to testing the Fantast meat thermometer I purchased at Ikea. It has a 40 inch braided steel cord on the probe. You can program a temp into it and it will beep when it reaches the temp. I did the boiling water test and it read 213 degrees. I can live with that especially...
I just purchased a "Fantast" meat thermometer at Ikea in Seattle. The price was 7.62 with tax. Its a digital single probe with a braided steel connection wire. The price was too good to pass up. I havent even opened it up yet but figured that others may be interested. I will report back about...
Do the boiling water thing to make sure its accurate. I had to have one replaced because it was off. Do not rest the smoker probe directly on the grill.

I think by pressing the "smoker hi/hr" and or "food hi/clear" buttons it will reset and you can then reprogram it. If you only want to turn off the alarm the press the "start/stop" button.

This is my best friend. She's not with us anymore.
She was an angel. When we adopted her from the Humane Society they had no records of her. So we figured she came from heaven. She was very affectionate. She could sense when you werent happy and she would come to you. Try and cheer you up...
Thanks Ron. Really sorry about that but the page that my post was on is still really wide. Unless you have a 6 foot wide monitor you have to scroll sideways to read it. Can the page be restored? I feel real stoopid I will try to post again and I hope that I can get it right.
Thanks
Brian
I posted a reply with pics on the show your dog thread and now the entire page has gotten messed up, too wide. Can someone fix it? I previewed my post and it looked fine. But when I posted it was messed up.
Sorry
Brian
That is what I would call state of the art. Perhaps rigging a cutoff switch on the lid to kill the fan? Sort of like a light switch on a refigerator. What are the rocks on the bottom of your rig for?

Thanks for the response. We don't have a Staples in Hawaii and from doing business with Dell we are leery of mail ordering everytime we run low on ink. They have us paranoid about receiving wrong merchandise and getting a sales pitch while trying to get an order straightened out. I guess a new...
I didnt know where else to post this so I hope its appropriate here. We have a Dell printer and can't find any other source for cartridges but the Dell people. According to my wife they have screwed up two out of two orders. Is there any other source for their cartridges? Our next step is to get...
The meat is not rubbery but firm. Its softer than beef jerky but its almost like dried meat. The kind of tako used in sushi bars is a different type so I can't say if the texture would be any different if prepared this way. Next time I will try and post pics of the finished product. But only if...
Its actually common in Hawaii. And there are many ways of preparing and cooking them. People go skin diving for them and it is an art in itself to find them. They are masters of disguise and, as a friend showed me once, you can be staring directly at them and not know its there. Anyway to...
