Jerky in the smoker
Marinaded a sliced tri-tip roast overnight and just put it in the smoker. Question is; what cuts do you guys use for jerky? I've heard flank and top round it the general choice but was wondering what alternatives you've tired and like. I know tri-tip is not the best choice (not lean enough) but... -
First Brisket ...and some fish w/ Qview
Thanks for the support! The fish is (was) Yellow tail, yellow fin, mahi mahi and a piece of salmon from Sam's. The Yt, Yf and MM were caught by my younger brother. Fish was smoked with hickory. The Brisket I hit with mesquite twice (2 hand full of chips) and once with hickory. Not sure... -

I live in Calif. and some politician recently proposed a similar tax on beer but it got shot down, thankfully. A great reason to become a homebrewer. I started brewing my own about 3 years ago. It's fun and I get to drink and share the results. Cheers, JB- badger
