Guam
Hey yall, just signed up and figured I'd say what's up.

I'm in the military, and serving in Guam right now. I use a "smoke canyon" vert propane smoker. Which is basically just a masterbuilt. I'm a big fan of my own personal rubs, sauces, etc etc and I like to experiment. I like the sweeter style more than the spicey note.
So I'm new to the site, and decently new to smoking. I've done my own rubs, sauces, ribs, pork butt, brisket etc. Always up for some advice and new tricks!
Well, I think that's it. Thanks for yall's time.

Welcome Ohsethlo!!!

Any questions, just yell.

Guam looked like a nice place to me, but I only spent 2 hours on the ground there, changing planes on the way to Vietnam in 1969.

Guam isn't bad. Been here almost 2 years now and am set to either stay another 2 or head to Japan.

Hey Seth, how do you like Guam....i could have been stationed there but chose the west coast, sometimes kick myself for it.

Hope you' all don't tip over!  (have you heard that joke?)

It's not bad, I have a high hour, high stress job so I'm not a very good judge haha. All in all though, I like it. It's definitely not the States but the money is decent and I sleep in my bed every day.

Welcome Seth your in my old stomping ground. I was stationed on Guam for 18 months at NAVCOM...I enjoyed my tour there . We used to hunt wild goats and pigs and cook them out on the beach all night drinking beer. I was there in 1963 and 64 before I went to Vietnam..Bet iys changed alot..Nothing but jungle when I was there..They even caught a old Japaneese World War II solider still dressed in his uniform living in a cave while I was there..Have fun while you are here...And thanks for your service for our country !!!  Thanks for your service for our country...

Welcome aboard. I was on guam from Feb.1986 - Dec.1995. USS White Plains, USS Proteus, USS Holland and a short stint messing with the tugs. Best nine years of my almost 15 years in the navy.many typhoons and a nasty earthquake.

Yep been through all of that and the Geko`s crawling all over you at night when you were asleep.. Guam is 32 miles long and 4 to 8 miles wide. Alot of Gaint Toads and herds of snails.. No snakes there when I was there...just lots of Monitors...

. Man I could tell some stories about that place...From what I have seen on TV Guam has lots and lots of poisonous snakes there now but only one or two varieties. When I was there the Natives hated the Military..When ever we went off base we had to go buddy system..
