Thoughts and prayers to people in the way of this storm.... a mobile home park was just taken out.

...here i'm out bbq'ing while people are losing their homes.   Thoughts and prayers from Indiana

I-40 is my route twice a week-Tx panhandle to OK. city than north east to ST. Louis, went through it this afternoon just before they formed, pea size hail and growing with Hard rain.CB chatter was pretty favorable till I got into the storm than heard that east bound was stopped on the interstate, as I punched through the storm it looked like a parking lot with everyone out of there vehicles looking at a huge wall of black. I sure wouldn't want to live in tornado ally. hang tight all-thoughts are with ya.

Just posted in Reds "remembering our friends........." thread. I'm in Bethany OK with Americares and the storm that came through here was an incredible show of force by mother nature. Never seen anything like it. Any of you folks in this things path be careful. And those that it has already gone by.... it may not be over. This thing is dropping incredible amounts of water, cars and trees thrown, literally thousands of lightning strikes. Unbelievable power.

Thanks to all for checking on us!  The central part of the state is catching the worst of this afternoon's and tonight's storms.  We've been lucky in NE Okla. so far tonight, a few storms but widely scattered.  Keeping our fingers crossed.

geerock, OkieLeo, TurnandBurn, and all you folks in Central Oklahoma, stay safe with an eye on the sky!  The OKC area can't seem to catch a break.

And Oklahoma is not the only place getting hit with storms...there is a line of severe weather stretching from Texas to the Great Lakes states.  I hope all remain safe tonight...

Got called in early last night... we had two very small tornado touchdowns in Norman (maybe just some strong straighline winds but there was a lot of rotation in the storms). Lots of damage, had a fatality accident (head on collision), and there were more people killed just north of us including a mom and infant that were pulled from their vehicle as they were traveling down the highway. In lesser news we arent in a drought anymore and it only took one night. We had almost 5 inches of rain from 6 PM last night to about 6 AM today. Needless to say things flooded. Cars were floating away and people just kept driving into high water. Anyway its been a long night and I am going home to sleep, it is me and my wifes 5 year anniversary and I will get to goodmorning, kiss her, and then crawl into bed and get up to do it all over again but I have a lot to be thankful for. My house is standing, my family is safe, and I have a job to provide for them with. Things could get a lot worse.

Night all.

Hey, Leo...sounds like a tough night.  I'm thankful to hear that you and yours are safe and sound.  Happy Anniversary to you and your wife!  Sorry you have to spend it working a disaster.

No shortage of job security for those of us that work as emergency department nurses. A group of us trauma RN's were wanting to respond again to OKC but the damn storms kept coming towards Tulsa. We knew we had to sit tight in case our community needed us. What a big shitty mess. Tulsa was fortunately spared most of the storm but there has been disaster all around us. I would like to say thank you to all of you had kept us in your thoughts and prayers. It's been a long twelve days. The one blessing that I have received is that I have the pleasure of mowing some very tall and wet grass this weekend. It will be hard, messy work but I will love every minute of it. I am privileged to have a home and family safe so far. All the best.
