Hey all, been looking to get an electric for some time now and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the master forge 30in.? If so. . . Pros? Coins? Quality? Etc.
Thanks a lot for any info

My first smoker was a master forge electric bullet smoker. The thing was great until someone opened the garage door/ turned on the tv etc... It really draws alot of juice and will trip your breaker quicker than you can blink! Unless you have a dedicated circuit for it, I would go with a gasser. Thats what I did... Good luck!

Thanks for the info. . . It seems like a well built smoker. . . And I can run off a circuit that isn't used in anything else

I have one, and only used it twice. It gets crappy reviews on the Lowes' website. The lower drawers don't seal well, I had to use bungee cords to keep it sealed tight. Takes a good while to preheat in cool weather. That is my initial impression of it so far.

How about the master built 40" front control?? Sam's club has em for 100 bones more. . . How does the rubber gasket on the door hold up?

A MES 30 caught my eye strolling through Home Depot yesterday. I have never had a MES, was tempted but didn't go for it after all the problems with the new generation of units. Anyway, I went over and looked at it and was kinda stunned by how small it looked inside. I think you would out grow that pretty quick and be looking to upgrade. Just my opinion, of course

I don't think my home depot carries the masterbuilt. . . Never checked there to be honest the one at Sam's seems large enough for what I do and its definitely a step up from the brinkmann smoke n pit I have now. . . The master forge unit at lows is, however, really small
