Unpacked, assembled, wiped out, and now burning the manufacturing oils off!

Chuck is marinating, small brisket is thawing, its 70 degrees out, and I have a beer in hand.

Life ain't bad!

After the inital burn off I'll season with some apple, and get everything ready for some smoked meat and Chef jimmy's Smoky Au jus!  And some more beer...you know- just 8 or 9 quick ones!

LOL...life is good

Sounds like the perfect day to me...hard to beat beer & BBQ and a new smoker on a pretty day.

Congrats on that new rig...

Brisket is in, rubbed with SPPOG(Salt, Pepper, Paprika, Onion Powder, and Garlic powder over a yellow mustard base(helps the rub stick better).

Chuck is in, marinated overnight in Surly Bender, garlic, Worcesterchire, pepper, chipotle powder.

And the veggies for Chef Jimmy's Smoky Au Jus are also in - one hour on those, then add the broth, tomato paste, and bay leaves.

The best part?  My 11 year old daughter woke up early on a Saturday to help!

Is it too early for a beer?

Wish I could get my 16 year old to just wake up at a normal time on a Sat. Only time that happens is if she wants the car for the day then she has to take her mom to work by 8am.

Too early??? It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right?

Looking forward to the Qview.
