I have a GOSM propane smoker an i want to order a amazen smoker but i dont know whitch one will work the best in my smoker? Pellet or dust?

I guess hot i do a lot of jerky at lower temps and i will be starting to smoke sausage also but i still love doing ribs, butts, chickens, and everything else.

I have the Masterbuilt Extra Wide Propane Smoker which is similar to the GOSM, and Todd recommended I use the Tube. It works find in my Masterbuilt.

Im just about sold on the 5 by 8 amnps. How much does it hold? and how long do 1 pound bags of pellets last?

I have both but with the pellet one u can use pellets or dust.

I have the same smoker, I have the tube and amazen smoker that used dust. Im happy with both of them. But I used the tube the most. Thanks again Todd.and I love your smokers

...and wouldn't you know it?

I have the Amazen 6x8 (dust) and the Amazen pellet smoker....for use in my propane Masterbuilt.......

They work great most of the time, but sometimes its a real challenge keeping them lit. Some babysitting involved.

Todd, is the Tube less sensitive—or more efficient—than the flat smokers to the reduced air/draft circulating within these boxes?

Interior dimension of the big box is 24" wide by 16 deep x 36 high. May need the 18" tube.....

Okay so here is my unbiased report of the two Tube smokers that  iuse in my GOSM. I own th 18" and the 12" (i bought the smaller one for a different smoker).

I can't believe that I spent umpteen years with homemade smoke generators!!! They both work extremely well in GOSM. Get them burning good and put the lit end near one of the side vents. I have used them in temps as low as 17* F for cold smoking and smoker temps up to 275*F. At the lower cold smoking temps the 18" tube lasts 7 hours plus. At the higher temp 5 hours plus.

I used mine yesterday for the first time!  Love it...and the Pitmaster blend is amazing on the brisket and the pork butts.

I have had much better results with the Tube in my GOSM, at altitude we have ThinAir the Tube seems to get more air.

Gonna have to own one of those tubes soon.  The AMNPS works wonderfully in my MES, the best smoke source by far that I've tried.  But in my GOSM, I have struggled to keep the AMNPS going.  The last smoke in my GOSM, I eventually said 'Uncle' and filled my old chip box with chunks to finish smoking a turkey.  I'll bet the tube is the answer.

Works perfectly in the GOSM. I stick the lit end as close as I can to one of the side vents. I've used it in there for cold smoking, and for hot smoking (325* max so far). Worked just fine. At the 275* smoking my last turkey it went 7 hours (18" tube)
