A neighbor gave me some salmon, so I decided to grill it up tonight

Rhonda made a salad, and we tossed the grilled salmon on top

Here's my story......

Thanks for looking!

Todd

A couple small tail ends of the salmon fillets

All the ingredients to brine the salmon

Brining in a ziploc for about an hour

Cedar plank soaked in water and on a hot grill until it starts smoldering

Marinated salmon fillets resting nicely on the cedar plank

About 30 minutes later on medium heat

Money Shot!

Off the plank and ready to eat

Salad with grilled salmon, lemon flavored olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Salmon had a nice texture with a light cedar smokey flavor to it

Thanks Scar!

Rhonda is not a big salmon fan.

The last salmon fillets we got from SAMS tasted kinda "Fishy", so she's a little nervous to eat it

These fillets tasted fantastic!

I'll be smoking some tomorrow!!!

Give her a hug for me and tell her we are kindred souls on the salmon. Only had it one time that I liked in at least 50 attempts from different cooks

A little goes a long way with me too....

Todd,

Since what I smoke is probably 90% Salmon, I love your post.  Might I ask what you used for a marinade?
