Two are being left as corned beef, the other three are getting turned into pastrami - they were all approx. 3.5 lbs. My pastrami rub is corriander, garlic powder, and a LOT of fresh ground pepper!

That is Awesome!!!

But I have a question, if they were all smoked what's the difference between corned beef and pastrami? I know corned beef is usually boiled but if cooked in a different way what is it? It just seems they are so close what really makes them different?

Anyway that is some great looking meat you have there!!!

That all looks great...My Mrs. picked up 3ea  4lb Corned Points for $1.79 a pound. Going to be Pastrami goodness here soon as well...JJ

Main differance is you heavily coat the pastrami with black pepper and corriander and then traditionally it is steamed.... but we use smokers around here. LOL It does seem a little confusing, but they are almost the same - in order to make pastrami you have to corn the beef first.
