STOP ME FROM MAKING IT!

Microwave Chili-Lime-Ginger Beef Jerky
Ingredients
1. 3 garlic cloves, minced
 2. 3 tablespoons minced peeled ginger
 3. 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
 4. 3 tablespoons soy sauce
 5. 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
 6. 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
 7. 1 teaspoon finely grated lime zest
 8. 3/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
 9. 1 pound flank steak, sliced crosswise 1/4 inch thick

 1. In a blender, combine the garlic, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice and salt and puree until smooth. Add the lime zest and crushed red pepper and pulse to combine. Transfer the marinade to a large bowl.
 2. On a cutting board, using the tenderizer side of a meat pounder, lightly pound the steak strips to a scant 1/8-inch thickness. Add the strips to the marinade and turn to coat thoroughly. Let stand at room temperature for 2 hours or refrigerate overnight.
 3. Arrange half of the flank steak strips on a microwave-safe bacon rack or over 2 inverted ice cube trays and cover them with dry paper towels. Microwave at high power for about 2 minutes. Repeat once or twice more (depending on the strength of the microwave), turning the steak strips once or twice, until they begin to caramelize and appear leathery. If the strips aren’t yet leathery, microwave them in 1-minute bursts at high power until they are. Transfer the beef jerky to a plate and repeat with the remaining steak strips.
Make Ahead
The beef jerky can be refrigerated for 2 weeks.

I can't help but wonder what they were thinking of when someone made this

Magnum, you've come to the right place

Friends don't let friends nuke jerky

Step away from the Microwave

We'll talk you through this.

Relax, take in a deep breath of hickory smoke, and exhale slowly

Repeat after me; it was only a dream. it was only a dream it   was  only  a   dream

Now smoke a meatloaf and a batch of ABTs while you get a load of jerky ready for your smoker

All is well

Sounds like something a drunk college kid sick of ramen would come up with.

Definately something thought of at the end of a 1/4 ounce of something...Dad gettin' the jerky ready for tomorrows smoke and the Stoner kids gotthe Munchies and creative!...JJ

I figured you guys would get a kick out of it.

The recipe itself doesn't seem awful (at least worth a try) but in now way should it be nuked.  The oven is my 2nd and last option thank you. Everyone should know my first

Wow!!!! Now I will admit before I had a smoker I made my Jerky in a dehydrator and used liquid smoke for flavor, never knew you could microwave it though. I think I might have to try this one.

Great find, Thank you.

P.S. I have no real intention of trying this, or if I did I would never tell you.

my wife makes the best juiciest, delicious meat loaf in the microwave..... go figure.....
