Today I decided to try  Old World Spices on a  smoked turkey.  I  rinsed and dried the turkey then liberally rub with EVOO and applied the mixture of herbs and rubbed the herb blend turkey.

It was cooked in the smoker at 270 degrees for 5 hours. I let meat rest for 15 mins. after removing from the smoker.   I should have tied the legs together.

It turned out very moist.

Turkey has Old World Spices and I like onion and garlic a lot so I added extra and salt and pepper.  On the veggies drizzled them with EVOO and then I put 1 tablespoon Italian herbs, 1/4 teas garlic and 1/2 teas. onion powder.I just opened an online site that sells herb and spice blends especially for smoking and grilling you will see my ad to the right.  Most of my seasoning blends do not contain salt and sugar because so many people have to be cautious with their health.  Like so many people now a days I lost my job so I decided to create my own.  Little square with www.ivyandherbs.com is my site 03-15-2012 my banner and larger ad will be showing here for the first time.  I would be willing to send you a some free samples of those herbs and some other seasoning if you would be willing just to give a review after using them.  I get my blends from a wholesaler and sometimes I add extra spices and herbs to them when I think it is needed.

I checked out your site and it looks great! I would give you a review no problem for some free samples! I will PM you.

Nice looking turkey and veggies!  I did a turkey breast this weekend and it was great.  Even the "home boss"

said she liked it which is surprising since turkey is NOT her favorite.  Keep up the good work!!!!
