I usually sit them in a bucket of water for a couple hours, then back to the frig. over night....It's not the way we were taught in class. We were advised to allow meat to thaw in the frig. over night or maybe even a couple nights. I'd like to know what's the best way to thaw one out too....
I think the proper way is to put it in the fridge to thaw. But with impatience or time crunch I do the cold water bath, changing the water frequently and then into the fridge for the remainder of the time.
