nothing too fancy since this was my first breast I didn't do too much.it was already injected with some turkey broth solution so i let it be. I brushed on some honey and coated with some left over chicken rub and some rosemary powder. smoked it with go tot blend of hickory, apple, cherry.

my target crowd doesn't like it spicy but next time i will inject the honey and some cayenne to give it a little boost and use more spicy rub.

it came out pretty good. I am convinced 90 pct of that is due to getting good meat at the butcher. 10 my skill :)

a very impatient crowd limited my pic. I made a cranberry/walnut relish to go with it. my wife made stuffing and corn. it was a good sunday dinner.

thanks AL.

Berninga,

it was very juicy and tender. that was due to the 15pct(I think) solution that was already in the turkey. since it specifically said it was turkey broth i left it alone. it was a gamble but it turned out good.

the relish was a food network recipe easy and very tasty. i had frozen berries but i bet some nice fresh organic berries would be outstanding!

Servings
Yield:

Ingredients
  • 1 orange
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries (about 8 ounces)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnut pieces

Directions
* Finely grate the zest of half of the orange into a medium saucepan, then squeeze in all of the juice. Add the cranberries, sugar and walnuts and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the cranberries start to pop, about 10 minutes. Let cool.

Dewetha , good looking Breast there ;)-   I know you had fun and enjoyed the rewards.

The Honey and Cayenne will be a good combo and (if not overdone) will add a bit of intrigue to your Family's tastebuds.

Have fun and as always...

Don't you hate that ; you get all this neat stuff done and have it looking like you want and , BOOM , all of a sudden the Son (in my case ) , and his crowd ( I say that lovingly because in his household there's the Wife , G-Son , G-Daughter  and a Cousin-in-law along with her Fiance' , so any leftovers hoped for are GONE
