Man, looks like everyone is doing briskets this year!

Anyway, I am about to prep my 9 brisket. I have read a LOT of different methods, and I think i am trying a marinade overnight. Then I will rub it down before it goes into the smoker.

Don't worry, I will keep you guys all updated with the qview!

Good luck with your smoke and I'd like to see how the marinade turns out.

I'm a "keep it simple" kind of guy when it comes to my briskies.  A rub down with some Worcestershire sauce, kosher salt and some fresh cracked black pepper-wrap with plastic wrap and into the fridge over night and then into the smoker.

Ok, here we go with the qview.

First off, We are deffinetly trying something that I have not seen done with brisket (so maybe its a bad idea) But i have done this with other red meats with great results.

First off, Here is the 9# beast.

I'm going to let it sit in the wine overnight, and rub it down in the morning.

More pictures to come tomorrow.

Send me the little helper?  Great memories.  She is precious.

At least I got to see my neighbors' little ones today.  So happy for the presents they don't get to open yet.  LOL

Good luck and good smoking.

She most deffinetly is my little girl. I love her to death. Looking forward to all the memories we have yet to create.

She is excited for her 4th birthday, cause I promised her a fishing rod, and a fishing trip. It's almost all she talks about right now.

You would be surprised how many briskets are being smoked this year. I'm another one myself. But the family requested this one. So smoke on nd don't forget the Q-view. we want to see them all.

Well this morning has been a good morning so far. I placed my order for my AMNPS (very excited for this).

I pulled the meat out of the marinade, and it looks great. I mixed up some rub seasoning and gave the beast a good rub down. Got the smoker prepped, and loaded the brisket into the MES 30.

I'm smoking this one with mesquite wood, and going to take it up to 200.

Here is the qview.

Fresh out of the marinade.

Well the brisket smoke went well. Put it in 9am, and it was done at 7:30pm. I ended up having to turn the smoker up to 240, to get the meat past 164. But all is well. Sampled some last night, and it is absolutly the best tasting meat we have had in a long time.

Here is the qview. Sorry for the blurry pictures, all i have is my phone.

Thanks guys. It was good, the whole family ate it. There is not a single piece left.
