Don't know anybody who has that particular unit, probably because it's a relatively new item. All I can say is BBQ Guru makes a high quality product & I'm sure you will be happy with this one.

Thanks guys.

Al,

Does your Guru work pretty well? I don't have much of a problem keeping the WSM around 225, but it would be nice to set it and forget it for some all-nighters. Can you get yours to run real high or low? I also noticed that you have an A-MAZ-N Pellet smoker. Do you just run that in your WSM when you use it? I was thinking about getting into some bacon and jerky, and would like to keep some pretty low temps.

Thanks

Thanks guys.

Al,

Does your Guru work pretty well? Yes it will keep the temp + or - 2 degrees for as long as you have fuel, and you are right it is awesome for an all nighter. I don't have much of a problem keeping the WSM around 225, but it would be nice to set it and forget it for some all-nighters. Can you get yours to run real high or low? I have set it from 200 to 350. I also noticed that you have an A-MAZ-N Pellet smoker. Do you just run that in your WSM when you use it? No. I was thinking about getting into some bacon and jerky, and would like to keep some pretty low temps. I cold smoke my bacon in my Smoke Vault & for sausage I use my MES. I think you probably could use the WSM and build a very small fire with only 2 or 3 briquettes burning at a time minnion style with the guru set to 120-150 degrees & it would probably work. I just never tried it.

Thanks

I went ahead and got onto the waitlist for one. The lady I spoke with said it would work great paired with my Maverick probes.

Thanks guys.
