Hey folks!

First time smoker. I had talked about it for a while and then received my first smoker as a Xmas gift. I decided to start researching right away and stumbled on to this forum.

I tried a couple recipes here and then opted to pick up Jeff's recipe for sauce and rub. The sauce is excellent! I will be trying it this weekend when the parents come over for dinner on a pork butt.

So far I have done ribs a couple times, tried some bacon wrapped chicken and one pork butt. I need to work on my ribs skills, but the chicken and butt came out really good. Practice makes perfect I suppose.

I'm not new to the forum format as I spend most of my time on the car forums. I plan to do a lot more searching and lurking, but thought I would say hello. .

I hope so! I want to get them a bit more tender. I like the fall off the bone ribs. I think I need some more time to learn my smoker.
