Ok, I am a complete rookie at smoking.  I have cooked on pig cookers in the past and I love my gas grill but it is time to start smoking.  I am looking at these three smokers at Sams Club, not comitted to Sams Club or these smokers so your opinion is greatly appreciated.  I would like to stay under $300 and I really like the $199 price point.  Of these which should I go with?  I like the ability to add wood and water without losing heat in the Landmann models.

What other smokers should I look at?  They don't have to be at Sams.

Thanks,

I look forward to joining "The Brotherhood"!

If it were me, I'd go with the Masterbuilt electric......

The 30" is less that $200.....

Are you sure you want a propane smoker, or would you be interested in electric or charcoal?

If your considering charcoal then I would look at a Weber Smoky Mountain Smoker. They are great right out of the box, carry the Weber name, maintain temps very easily, and will last forever. I have the 22.5 & it will hold 225 for 20 hours without adding any charcoal or wood.

I take back my prior statement.  I would probably prefer gas or electric.  I have looked at the WSMs before and I might do charcoal in the future.  Even thought about investing in a Green Egg eventually if I get hooked on smoking.
