Fantastic site!!!! I have snooped around for some time and found this to be a great site!!!! Now its out of the shadows and time for a question. I'm new this smoking stuff and just got a Masterbuilt for Christmas so I figured why not take a leap and start with Ribs. My question,  I was wondering if it was ok to split a rack of BabyBacks to get them in the upright? They are a bit long and would have to be bent to get them in.

Thanks

Would you please update your profile info with your location, and go over to the roll call section & introduce yourself so we all can give you a proper SMF welcome. Thank-you.

Yes it's OK to cut the BB racks in half, it won't change the flavor or cook time at all.

It's OK to split them, that's how I do mine, there are several ways to do them, here is a recent thread that is good for babybacks: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/115244/post-your-bb-results

Have fun!
