I am getting ready to smoke my second ever turkey. (last one was last weekend - and thanks everyone for the tips on when to pull it and put it in the oven) I was talking to a buddy of mine that has a "beer can" holder that is made for turkeys. While I do not have that, I do have a double barrelled chicken one. I was thinking of trying to put my turkey on it, but I was thinking about trying it upside down. (putting it neck end down onto the holder) What are your thoughts/experiences with something like this. Is upright any better than just laying the bird on the rack in the normal fashion? I am planning on brining it using the slaughterhouse brine I found on here and thinking of injecting as well. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!
