Since Mrs. J decided to get me a MES 40 for Christmas I guess I will hang around this group for awhile. I'm looking forward to playing with this new toy real soon. Right off I see I have to contact Masterbuilt for the replacement chip box and loader as this unit has the small chip pan...JJ

Going to season it up today or tomorrow then try to get a Throwdown recipe in and then a 6 week Dry Aged Rib Roast on New Years Day...JJ

CONGRATS JIMMY!

After you season your New MES 40, check the accuracy of your display, and temp probe.

My MES 40's all vary from 10° off to 25° off, and all run HOT!

Good luck on your Rib Roast!

Todd

I bought a used one and love it. A buddy of mine here on the dock liked it so much he went and bought one at sames. His runs constantly every weekend!
