I have to thank isho21  for posting this great food idea.  I had some leftover PP and a bag of masa, so that means I am going to try something new.

Here goes.

served with Refried beans and BBQ sauce. Not bad for a first try.  We will try different cheese next time. I need more cheese. A lot more cheese.

Thanks for stopping by.

Aren't those things called Empanadas or something like that. Yea they are but I bet yours are better cause they are home made.

I think in Mexico they are but these are a food from El Salvador and Honduras.  Then they made their way from their to the rest of the world. They are pretty tasty.

Love Papusas...I know it's not Authentic but I like the Sharpness of a Cheddar/Pepper Jack blend...JJ

An Empanada - at least out here in California - is turnover shaped with filling that is either fried or baked.  Much thicker that what I know as a Pupusa.  Both are mighty tasty though!

Curt.

They look awesome Rick!
Thanks Al.  They are worth the work and it is another good idea for leftover PP.

I'm Irish....so anything I make other than corned beef and cabbage is no longer authentic.  Next time I want to use mozza and pepper jack.
