I wouldn't normally post something so simple like this especially since it only consists of a couple of pictures but I felt like a little bragging on what I can now get all of the time was in order.

For those of you that don't know, I live in an apartment and can only grill on an electric grill I won in a raffle unless I drive to my grandmothers house where all of my good cooking stuff is (smoker, grills, etc.) so this was done on my electric grill.

Well in the bottom of the apartment building next to me is a really great grocery store that has most of it's produce, meat and fish from the state of Maryland, is only a walk across a parking lot, and the owner is a really great guy who will order anything you ask for. So because of people like me who always ask for better cuts of steak he now stocks Prime NY strips all of the time

. I used to get prime from working in restaurants but could never find them in stores but now I can get it all of the time which has changed my wife's view on steak because the perfect marbling makes them taste so much better then regular or choice cuts.

Enough of the bragging.....On with the Grill View

Oh Yeah, that says prime! Just look at that beautiful marbling

Dusted with my go to for steak consisting of Coarse Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, Toasted Onion Powder, Garlic powder, and Smoked Spanish Paprika

And my grilled romaine salad. For those of you that have never tried grill romaine you need to because the heat changes the flavor of the lettuce. I got my wife hooked on this a while back and now she doesn't even put dressing or anything on it except maybe a little Parmesan or Romano. I like to top with diced tomato, Romano and either a drizzle of flavor vinegar or a little Cesar dressing. This one just has a little flavored vinegar.

Sorry I didn't take a cut in half view of the steak to show the temp but it was med-rare.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks Chef JJ! I did a review on the grill, I'll take some pictures today and post them there.

Good job Twig.

That electric grill must get pretty hot to be able to do what you did!

Good luck and good smoking.
Thanks Venture! In the summer the grill can push around 550-600 degress but I haven't tried it since it has gotten colder. I think I might have to plug it in (instead of fire it up
