Romanian kebab (mititei)

This is one of the most popular Romanian grill dishes
In Romania It is served as a fast food with mustard.
1 kg grind beef meat 80:20 (you can do it with pork or veal )
2 tsp salt
1 tsp summer savoury
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp black pepper
5 cloves of crash garlic
½ cup beef stock
½ cup soda water
Mix well and leave over night





Roll in to small sausages


Grill on a medium to hi till ready I love it medium

Looks great -- I have savory at home, I really like it, and have been looking for other things to use it it.  Have to try these!
 
Ahron that looks awesome, I didn't know what summer savoury was so I googled it, sounds interesting gonna have to look for it at the international market.

 Yes in romania it is called Mujdei De Usturoi---Garlic Sauce

    Preparation time: 25 minutes (less complex)

Ingredients: garlic salt water

Preparation:Peel the garlic amount chosen by preference, are ground thoroughly with a pinch of salt until it becomes a cream. Place in sosiera and mix well with the right amount of water.

ok ahron that really looks right up my ally and football is starting soon so it will be on the table!   I think i might make one change though and stick some jalapeno in the middle!

Sounds like a great Whores D' Orver. Kinda like a Romanian meatball shaped like a sausage and grilled. Oh I guess that's nothing like a meatball. Anyway they look great. Can you use beer instead of soda water?
   Thanks. yes you can use both, you drink the beer and mix the soda water it gos easy with good beer

Walking Meatloaf! How cool is that!!!!

We love summer savoury.  It has replaced the poultry seasoning in our holiday stuffings. Nice alternative to sage in sausages.
