I am looking for ideas for beef rub.  I have Jeff's Naked Rib Rub that I could use, but I wondered if people used something different for beef than they do for pork.  Any suggestions appreciated.

My mistake!  I was hoping for favorite recipes, not store-bought products.  If folks use the same rubs for different meats, that's cool.  I'm new to smoking so I thought I would seek advice from you experts.

Thanks,

I don't think I've used the same rub twice in a long time. Beef is great with a simple garlic and onion and black pepper.

Don't forget the ginger and allspice, maybe some chipoltle, and Tequila don't forget the tequila, don't like the stuff to drink but add some good flavor to beef.

I like to keep my beef spices simple. I usually use some pepper, garlic & onion powder, Accent and Canadian Steak seasoning and maybe  a little sea salt but I usually go easy on the salt.

Way back when in the old days when I made my own rubs I did use slightly different rubs for beef and pork - I like my pork a little sweeter then my beef.

Now I use commercial rubs because they are so good - Plowboys and Simply Marvelous are my favorites.
